Beaumont man arrested in Polk County feed store burglary

POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Beaumont man has been arrested just hours after the Polk County Sheriff's office put surveillance footage on social media.

According to Sgt. David Ramsey, an male by the name of Gary Jackson has been arrested.

"As far as we know, he is not from this area," Ramsey said. "He is under the influence of narcotics, but as far as we know, he is from the Beaumont area and we believe he may be homeless."

According to an earlier press release, deputies were called out to the Southland Feed Store off of State Highway 146.

Deputies were told that suspects stole feed, game cameras, knives, fencing, and medication.

As of 10 p.m. Friday night, Jackson ad not been booked into the Polk County Jail.
