NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Two people are facing charges after police found an active meth lab at a Fairview motel on Sunday.

Officers found the lab in two parts at the Fairview Inn and Suites off of Highway 96. Part of the lab was in a car in the parking lot and the other was in a motel room.

Everyone nearby had to get out of the motel.

"For safety, we evacuated the rooms adjacent to room 112. Once it's completely cleaned, then we'll give the OK to the hotel operators and they can get back in business," said Lt. Roy Russell, Fairview Police.

Matthew Lewis and Brittany Furman are facing charges of manufacturing meth. They're being held in the Williamson County jail on a $25,000 bond.
