NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 39-year-old man on Monday in connection to allegations that he sexually assaulted a young girl on numerous occasions during the summer of 2011.

Mongo Jarbar Fite, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches Jail on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. No bail has been set at this time.

According to the arrest affidavit, a girl and three adults went to the sheriff's office on Monday to make an outcry about the alleged sexual assaults. The four people made verbal and written statements about how a young girl had come to them and told them about the alleged sexual assaults.

Using the information from the outcry, the deputy located Fite and brought him in for questioning.

The deputy also interviewed the victim and her mother, and they said Fite forced the girl to have sexual intercourse with him at least two times in the summer of 2011 before she went into the sixth grade, the affidavit stated. The alleged victim also said that Fite forced her to perform oral sex on him.

According to the affidavit, Fite tried to sexually assault the girl on two more occasions, but she managed to fight him off. In addition, the victim also alleged that Fite forced her down on a bed in an attempt to sexually assault her again in August 2014, but she stopped him when she hit him in the head with an object.
