Fed up

A federal mandate has schoolchildren eating healthier. The problem is, one East Texas school says, is tons of food is being thrown away because students don't like it as much as they like throwing it away. Now Zavalla ISD is challenging lawmakers to eat what they're making children eat. Leigha Hughes has the story at 6.

It was just earlier this year when we learned the abandoned state school in Crockett would be taken over by a private company, putting dozens of jobs back in place. But now they're unemployed again after the new business is temporarily shutting down and saying they're not getting the support they need from the state. Caleb Beames will have more at 6.
