LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The 22-year-old man injured in a one-vehicle accident on the Lufkin loop Thursday night is in critical condition.
Sgt. David Casper, a spokesman for the Lufkin Police Department, said Christopher Buster, of Lufkin, was airlifted to Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth in Beaumont after the accident.
Officer Toby Stanaland said the car was going south on Ellen Trout Drive, near the intersection of Martin Luther King Avenue when it hit a tree for an unknown reason and came to a rest dozens of yards past the tree on the northbound side.
The driver, Robin Liles, 19, of Lufkin, and two other passengers were not injured.
