PARIS, TX (KTRE) -

A former Lufkin High School golfer has captured his first college golf title, taking the opening tournament in Paris on Monday.

Tyler Dunbar, who plays for Paris Junior College, shot 69 and 70 in the 36-hole tournament. That put him in a tie for first with Cory Donnell of McClennan College.

Dunbar beat Donnell in the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to take the individual title of the tournament.

McClennan won the team title and Paris finished second.
