Curtis Shane Steitler, 38, was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on a felony DWI charge. He was also charged with driving under suspension and careless operation. Collectively, his bail was set at $84,000.

According to a press release, Louisiana State Police troopers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on U.S. 90 about a mile east of Vinton at 8:28 a.m. on Tuesday. Steitler drove off the road and got his vehicle stuck in a ditch, according to the press release.
