LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police detectives are investigating an alleged home invasion robbery in which the suspects were armed with a hand gun, a knife, and a roasting pan. The suspects allegedly took an iPod, a gaming system, phones, and a DVD player.
Sgt. David Casper said no arrests have been made at this time. The incident occurred at Alamo Apartments, which is located at 900 Second Street at approximately 1:50 a.m. Sunday.
Casper said the case is being investigated as a burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit another felony.
According to the police report, the victims heard a knock at the door. When they opened the door, three black males who were armed with a hand gun, a knife, and a roasting pan entered the apartment, the report stated.
The three suspects searched the apartment and the victims and allegedly took off with various electronic devices like an iPhone, a gaming system, phones, and A DVD player. They fled the scene at that point.
Casper said one of the suspects threw the pan at one of the victims. He said only minor injuries like a swollen finger and redness were reported.
"The investigation into the suspects' identity is still ongoing," Casper said.
