NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Emergency personnel are working to clear an 18-rollover accident that occurred on the Nacogdoches loop Wednesday afternoon.
Sgt. Mark Hurst, a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department, said information is limited at this time. He said the accident occurred in the 500 to 600 block of Southwest Stallings Drive near the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter.
A passenger car leaving a crossover pulled out in from of an 18-wheeler, Hurst said. He said the driver of the 18-wheeler took evasive action to the right, and he lost control of his rig. The 18-wheeler rolled over on the right shoulder of the road.
Hurst said, to his knowledge, no one was injured in the accident.
Traffic is backed up in the southbound traffic lanes on the loop, and Hurst said both lanes will be blocked when the 18-wheeler wrecker arrives on the scene to pull the rig upright.
