No pre-holiday down time for Nacogdoches school administrators. They're getting ready for a state review right on the heels of a state investigation.
Monday was the deadline for district administrators to respond to a Texas Education Agency report written by its On-Site Governance Team. The investigators' report answers complaints accusing some board members of overstepping their authority.
On Wednesday, the district will be hosting a Texas School Performance Review team. For three days, that team will examine how work is conducted throughout the entire district. School board members requested the voluntary review, despite the disapproval from Superintendent Dr. Tony Riehl.
