LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A popular and fun Tyler cook will be making a pit stop in Lufkin over the weekend to showcase her "Delicious by Design" recipes and tricks of the trade.
Teri Sawyer, who has over 22 successful years of food service under her belt, will be stopping by the Denman Avenue Baptist Church to host her cooking class on Friday and Saturday night. Although the cooking class is hosted by the Women's Ministry at the church, the class is open to all women in East Texas.
Ella Weaver, the director for the Women's Ministry, said Sawyer will be showcasing recipes for cooking for holidays that include Crock-pot cooking, microwave cooking, and will be focusing on recipes for inexperienced and advanced cookers.
The class starts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and ends at 9 p.m. On Saturday, there will be a brunch from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets are $25 and will continue to be on sale until Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m.
