In honor of its grand opening, the Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill Consignment Center will be hosting a Do-It-Yourself Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 301 Hill Street in Lufkin on Oct. 11.
“Please join us for some refreshments and DIY training and activities,” a press release stated. We will have professionals on hand to demonstrate how to correctly install different building materials to help beautify and modernize your home.”
People can find some great materials at a reduced price and the proceeds from the sales at the consignment center will go toward construction of new homes, which will give deserving families their greatest assets to pull themselves out of the cycle of poverty and onto a successful path.
