NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Every once in a while, lightning does strike twice.
The Nacogdoches Dragons beat the Lufkin Panthers for the second time in 22 years Friday night in a wild ride of a game. The final score was 38-35.
Nacogdoches came out with a bang early in he first half and quickly took a 14-0 lead. Then the two teams battled it out for the remainder of the game. The two arch rivals were tied at 35 in the fourth quarter when the Dragons sealed the win with a field goal.
Nacogdoches improved to 4-0 for the season, and Lufkin fell to a record of 2-2.
