NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - An ATM and safe were taken from a popular Nacogdoches spot.

Around 8 a.m. Friday morning, the Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office were called to Flamingo Bingo located on the 3400 block of South East Stalling Street. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found that a safe and ATM were taken from the business.

Liz hall the manager of the bingo hall said her heart stopped when she heard the news.

" It upsets me that somebody came in here and messed with us like that," said Anders. " It's like somebody breaking into your home."

Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges said he believes there were more than one person involved in this burglary.

"How they gain entry was very unusual they cut sheet metal to get inside the building," said Bridges.

He further explained that the burglars made their way through the left side of the building by cutting three holes out which were approximately two feet by three feet.

He added that this burglary may be connected to those in neighboring counties.  The incident is still currently being investigated.
