Groveton native Lane Johnson back with Philadelphia Eagles after four game suspension
GROVETON, TX (KTRE) -
Groveton native Lane Johnson reported back to work with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday after serving his four game suspension. It was his first day back at work in a month.
The right tackle violated the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs.
Johnson said he mistakenly took a prescription drug while training in April and failed to clear it with the Eagles' athletic trainers.
While serving his suspension, Johnson had been working out in Dallas. Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said the team will test Johnson's fitness level before making plans for him to step on the field come Sunday against St. Louis.
