A Nacogdoches County constable tracked down and arrested a 56-year-old man who allegedly broke into a business on Woden Road Saturday night and stole approximately $700 worth of copper.

Bruce Anthony Moore, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on two state-jail felony charges - burglary of a building and theft of wire/cable. No bail has been set at this time.

Precinct 4 Constable David Stone said Moore entered Nacogdoches Recycling Center through a hole in the back wall at approximately 11 p.m. and stole $700 worth of copper.

Nacogdoches Recycling employees discovered the alleged burglary Monday morning, Stone said. He was able to get an arrest warrant based on surveillance video footage of the burglary.

Stone was able to find one of Moore's relatives, and the relative pointed the constable in the right direction.

Moore was found walking along East Main Street Monday morning. Stone arrested him, and he was taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
