Group Plans to Save Homeless Felines from Death

by Ramonica R. Jones

Thousands of stray cats in Lufkin need a home, and a non-profit group is ready to help. The O'Malley Alley Cat Organization was founded in Nacogdoches back in 2003.

The agency now has a place in Lufkin dedicated to saving cats instead of euthanizing them. So far, 30 cats have been neutered and returned to the Lufkin community. Twelve have been adopted by loving families.

The Lufkin group needs donations to keep the project going. To find out how to help, go to www.omalleyalleycat.com.
