NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Police officers arrested two women on drug charges after a traffic stop on the Northwest Stallings Drive resulted in the seizure of approximately four pounds of cocaine Wednesday morning.
Lisa Ann Rivera, 47, of Houston, and Pamela Odella Whited, 44, of Madisonville, are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. Both women were charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance between 1 and 400 grams. No bail amount has been set for either woman.
According to a press release, Nacogdoches Police officers stopped a 2007 Dodge caravan driven by Rivera in the 3700 block of Northwest Stallings Drive for an expired inspection sticker.
After officers got permission to search the vehicle, they allegedly found a modified 48-quart cooler that contained approximately four pounds of powder cocaine.
Whited was a passenger in the vehicle. Both women were arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County jail.
The street value of the cocaine is estimated to be more than $175,000, according to the press release.
