NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A day after the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office released surveillance camera images of three suspect in a burglary at a convenience store on State Highway 21 East, investigators arrested three male juveniles, ages 13-15.
According to a press release, the sheriff's office took a report of a burglary that occurred at the Thralls convenience store early Tuesday morning. The suspects allegedly took alcohol and tobacco products.
NCSO deputies obtained surveillance video footage of the three burglary suspects, and still shots were released to East Texas News and other local media. After the pictures were released, the sheriff's office received several leads in the case.
Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges said one of his deputies recognized that one of the suspects was wearing a ball cap for a local baseball team. The deputy was then able to recognize one of the suspects in the surveillance footage.
"On Friday morning, investigators spoke with one of the suspects at school," the press release stated. "Sheriff Investigators were then able to identify all three suspects who also gave confessions to the crime."
In addition, sheriff's office investigators were able to recover some of the merchandise that had been stolen from the store.
All three of the suspects were charged with burglary of a building, which is a state-jail felony. They were transported to the Gregg County Juvenile Detention Center.
