A Lufkin woman is in the Angelina County Jail after police say she attacked her boyfriend and his brother with a kitchen knife.

According to Lt. Mike Shurley, 30 year-old Crissy Gibbs became irate when she got to her residence in the 1700 block of Keltys Street and discovered her boyfriend in the process of moving out.

"The boyfriend told officers that Gibbs got very angry and started throwing things," Shurley said. "It's alleged that she went and grabbed a knife from the kitchen and lunged at her boyfriend. Her boyfriend's brother, who was there helping, jumped in and stopped her from attacking him. The boyfriend's brother received a cut to his hand."

Shurley said the boyfriend was able to restrain Gibbs and take the knife away, but was cut on his hand as well.

Gibbs is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a first degree felony. Bond has been set at $5,000.
