LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) -

Livingston Police officers are still looking for a suspect who fled a traffic stop on State Highway 190 in her car and later on foot Monday morning.

According to Lt. Matt Parrish, a spokesman for the Livingston Police Department, LPD officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 190, and the driver, who was later identified as Ginger Beatrice Brown, 35, of Livingston, fled the scene.

When the vehicle got the Crystal Lakes Estates subdivision, Brown and John Schiele, her passenger, jumped out of the car and ran away on foot. An officer at the scene caught Schiele, who was charged with evading arrest in addition to the charges that are already pending.

Schiele's bail was set at $5,000.

Polk County authorities are still searching for Brown, and a warrant has been issued for her arrest. Anyone with any information about her whereabouts is urged to call (936) 327-3117.
