LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - An area charity is getting a big donation.
Brookshire Brothers made a stop to the Christian Information and Services Center in Lufkin this morning to drop off over 300 boxes of potato flakes.
The boxes will go to supply the food bank for about three weeks of supply.
Becky Crocker has moved from a box packaging to a pouch, and the told the stores to do what they needed to get rid of the old boxes.
"It helps us feed the 16,000 every month," said Yolanda Richard, the director of CISC. "We have people that are low-income or single-parent families or are new to the area and are just making a dollar stretch."
Brookshire brothers handed out boxes to the Zavalla Food Bank as well.
