Lufkin woman injured after running red light

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Lufkin woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after running a red light and wrecking with another car Thursday morning.

Lufkin Police Officer Alberto Ibarra said Minerva Dazaldua, 74, of Lufkin, was driving on First Street and ran a red light at the intersection of Frank Avenue and was T-boned by an oncoming Chrysler 300.

Ibarra said Dazaldua was taken to a Lufkin hospital with minor injuries.
