The Lufkin Panther football season is over. The team did not win a state championship, but they had a good run.
The Panthers' season ended when they lost to Southlake Carroll on Saturday by a touchdown. Even after falling behind on Saturday, the Panthers battled back, but came up short, making it tough to head back to school Monday.
The school principal is among those proud of the team's accomplishments this year. Principal Roy Knight calls the chemistry this year's players had unbelievable.
