POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Polk County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 37-year-old Livingston woman on Friday after she allegedly left a young girl home alone for an hour and a half, and the child ran out into a street, screaming for help.

Bethany Christine Taylor was booked into the Polk County jail on a state-jail felony charge of abandoning or endangering a child. She is no longer being held in the jail.

According to the arrest affidavit, Taylor left the girl at a home in the 300 block of Dickens Oaks in Livingston for an hour and a half starting at 1:145 a.m. Wednesday morning. The girl was left with no phone or way to call for help, and the girl ran out into the street, where she screamed for help.
