Nationally, the vaccine supply is growing, but the demand for it is going down. East Texas doctors say they are not seeing a lot of flu apathy, but they have noticed a similar trend when it comes to vaccine demand.
Dr. Karl Krohn said, "A shortage creates a demand, and anytime there's a shortage of anything, it's going to make people want it more. Another aspect is that we're not seeing a lot of flu nationally, yet. People aren't seeing any cases, so they're thinking, 'maybe it is not so important that I get this shot.'"
