Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt wins second World Series with the Giants
The San Francisco Giants have won their third World Series in five years after beating the Kansas City Royals 3-2 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt was a part of the magic finishing 2-4 on the night.
The first baseman singled to right field to move Pablo Sandoval to third and Hunter Pence to second in the second inning, setting them both up to eventually run in. Belt flied out to left field, but was able to get Sandoval to third, where he eventually made it home. The former Hornet singled to right in the sixth inning and then grounded out at second in the ninth.
This makes for Belt's second World Series title after winning his first one with the Giants in 2012.
