Salvation Army Distributes Angel Tree Gifts

Santa Claus made his rounds early in East Texas. The Salvation Army handed out gifts Monday collected during its Angel Tree project.

More than 500 people adopted an "angel" this year. From bikes to remote control cars to stuffed animals, most of the kids got exactly what they wished for. The Salvation Army also gave away bread, candy and soft drinks to families in need.

If you were on the Angel Tree list but didn't pick up your gift Monday, you can drop by the Salvation Army office Tuesday morning between 9 and 11.
