LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lunch goers at the Senior Center in Lufkin connected with their inner child Friday.
Many of them wore their favorite costumes. All of them got some special treats from local groups at a health fair.
The local groups that were involved also raised money for the center. They brought in 700 dollars in checks.
"They will be able to use that money for any of their needs, whatever their needs," said Wendy Brandenberg with Texas Home Health. "It's going to help them. Their budgets are cut. They don't have a lot of money coming in so it will help them do things they wouldn't be able to do otherwise."
The favorite costumes of the day were the bride looking for the perfect man and the biker couple.
