LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Three men were sent to the hospital, after an argument over a gun turned into a shooting.
Around 8 p.m. Sunday, Lufkin Police were called to the 1800 block of East Denman Avenue. According to Lt. Ronny LaRue, the two men were arguing over a gun when one of the men was hit over the head with the firearm.
The man who was injured has been identified as 22-year-old Kelvin Lewis from Lufkin. LaRue said Lewis then left the scene but returned minutes later.
"He then came back and shot four rounds through the apartment window and then fled the scene," said LaRue.
The two men were taken to the hospital for non life threatening injuries. LPD located Lewis an hour later receiving treatment for his injuries at Woodland Heights Medical Center.
He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
