Flu Shot Priorities Expanding

More people may soon be able to get a flu shot.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that they will expand the target group for those eligible for the flu shot.

Before, adults sixty-five and older were recommended to get the shot, now that group includes fifty-years of age and older. Out of home caregivers for the high risk and those who are high risk with severe complications should also get vaccinated.

Of course those children who are six months to two years, pregnant women and those with medical conditions should also get vaccinated.

The recommendation takes places January 3rd.
