SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Timpson boy is recovering and in foster care following a pit bull attack last month.
Child Protective Services spokeswoman Shari Pulliam said the three-year-old boy is doing well and an investigation is continuing as to how to place the child in the future.
According to a previous report, the boy went outside while his parents were asleep and the dog attacked him. Authorities learned of the attack while the child was at a Carthage hospital.
The parents, Leanne Fox, 20, and David Parks, 27, were later arrested on charges of injury to a child. They are being held on $50,000 bail bonds.
