TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Authorities have arrested a Trinity man accused of beating his mother with a broom handle while he was drunk last week.
According to the arrest report, a deputy was called to a Trinity hospital emergency room on Nov. 1. The 72-year-old victim said her son, Jacky Glenn Clark, 55, had hit her in the head and eye with a broom handle.
The victim's neighbor was also at the ER and said Clark had told her he received the injuries, including lacerations to the head, a black eye and broken nose, after being attacked by chickens.
The victim told the deputy Clark hit her with it because he was drunk.
