HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Officials believe speed and wet roads played a factor in an early morning wreck in Houston County.
The wreck occurred early Wednesday morning on State Highway 21, just west of Austonio.
According to Houston County Chief Deputy G.P. Shearer, the roadway is passable and all of the OSB Plywood the truck was carrying is in the grass next to the highway.
Shearer said the 18-wheeler was the only one involved.
"The driver is up and alert," Shearer said. "He has been examined on scene."
The wreck has now been cleared from the scene.
