Laura Sadler

In January 2014, Laura Sadler joined the KTRE News 9 news team as the sports director. This was after 6 months as a news reporter at sister station KLTV 7 News. 

There, she was also a sports reporter during the high school football season for KLTV's Friday night football show, The Red Zone.

Laura Sadler is a born and raised Texan. A Dallas native, she graduated in 2013 from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches with a bachelor's degree in radio/television and a minor in sports marketing. She was also a four-year letter winner on the women's soccer team.

In her four years at the university, Laura was a member of the National Broadcasting Society where she attended broadcasting conventions nationwide to meet professionals and gain experience in the broadcasting field. She was also a part of the university's news programs, Jack Talk and Nac Edition, where she was able to report and anchor.

Laura has a passion for sports and was able to broadcast live halftime reports for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks. She was involved in broadcasting SFA Basketball games as well.

During her summers, Laura was able to intern at KTRE in Lufkin, where she gained real life experience in the broadcasting field. 

Outside of work, Laura enjoys staying active, cooking and watching or playing sports.Laura enjoys meeting new people so if you see her out, go ahead and introduce yourself.
