Nacogdoches woman arrested for locking 4 kids out, leaving them unattended

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches Police officers arrested a 29-year-old woman on a felony child endangerment charge on Thursday after she was indicted for locking four children under the age of 15 out of her apartment on Pearl Street.

Thelma Ann James, 29, of Nacogdoches, was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail felony charge of abandoning or endangering a child. She was released later that day after she posted a $7,500 bail.

According to the indictment, the incident occurred on Sept. 25. The indictment stated that James locked the four children out of her apartment and left them unattended for more than an hour.
