LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Angelina County officials are still waiting for results from evidence sent off from an October home invasion before naming suspects.
Lt. Pete Maskunas said they are still waiting on several things before naming suspects.
"We have sent evidence off and have calls into surrounding areas," Maskunas said. "We still have the three or four suspects at the scene, but there could be more involved with the set up of the home invasion and the aftermath."
The home invasion occurred at a residence in the 1500 block of Thigpen Road. At least three masked men broke into the home, tied a woman up, and demanded that her husband open their safe. They allegedly stole money and jewelry.
According to a previous East Texas News story, the home owner told authorities that he fired a gun at the suspects, and they fired back at him. On the day after the home invasion robbery, authorities located three guns that they believe are connected to the home invasion. The items were found about 100 yards from the residence.
Anyone with information on the case should call the sheriff's office at (936) 634-3332.
