Corrigan Bulldogs see themselves in Jewett Leon's style of play

CORRIGAN, TX (KTRE) -

Corrigan should be feeling some good momentum going into the playoffs with a 9-1 record, however their opponent, Jewett Leon, has a pretty good record at 8-2.

The Bulldogs said this matchup is perfect for them because their playing styles are so similar.

Corrigan is notorious for being the team to run opponents into the ground, and Jewett Leon won't be any different.

“They're just a hard-nosed, smashed-mouth, come right at you, football team and so are we. It ought to be a battle and a war,” said Corrigan head coach Seven Armstrong.

“I think it will be way easier to stop the run because we do it all the time,” said linebacker Ladarius Hamilton. “We know the ins and outs of the run. It will be a lot easier for us.”
