LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Following a traffic stop late Monday night, a Lufkin Police officer arrested a 31-year-old man for a felony parole violation and 21 outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
Myrick Jawad Shepard, of Lufkin, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a felony parole violation charge, a Class A misdemeanor failure to identify as a fugitive charge, a Class A misdemeanor terroristic threat charge, and 21 misdemeanor capias pro fine charges. Collectively, his bail has been set at $15,577.
According to the narrative of the police report, a Lufkin Police officer made a traffic stop on a tan Buick Rendezvous in the 400 block of Zoo Circle at approximately 10:15 Monday night. When the officer made contact with the front passenger, the man identified himself as LeBrandon Shepard.
After dispatch told the officer that Lebrandon Shepard had two outstanding Class C warrants, the officer detained the man. At that point, the officer realized that he knew the man as Myrick Shepard.
Dispatch told the officer that Shepard had an outstanding parole violation warrant, a TCIC hit for terroristic threat out of Harris County, and 21 outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
Shepard was arrested at the scene and transported to the Angelina County Jail.
