TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A foreman of a logging company faces possible criminal charges following allegations he skinned a deer after hitting it with his vehicle the day before.
According to Texas Parks & Wildlife, two Trinity County wardens received a tip about a yearling deer being skinned by workers at a logging site.
Wardens put a K-9 on the job and the dog worked a dirt pile, but did not find anything.
The game wardens returned the next morning and talked to loggers, who said their foreman hit a small yearling buck with his vehicle the day before and brought the deer back to the site.
This time, the dog found the buried deer carcass.
The case is pending with TPWD.
