East Texans on Ferguson

While we have been watching the crisis in Ferguson, Missouri, we wondered if something like that could happen here in East Texas. At 6, Leigha Hughes interviews a longtime civil rights advocate who shares her thoughts on what's gone wrong and what can be done in Ferguson. And Donna McCollum talks to NAACP leaders in Nacogdoches, from separate generations, to get their thoughts on racial violence.

It's been two years since an East Texas county faced legal action for having a nativity scene on the courthouse grounds. It's happening again this year, in a different county. Caleb Beames has that story at 5.
