Nacogdoches Co. traffic stop results in 1 drug arrest, seizure of 145 grams of coke

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Following a traffic stop on US Highway north by a Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputy, a 42-year-Shreveport, Louisiana man was arrested on a felony drug charge on Monday.

Stacy Bernard Garr is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a second-degree felony possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams. His bail has been set at $25,000.

According to a press release, after the NCSO deputy made stopped a vehicle traveling on US 59 for a traffic violation, Garr, the driver of the vehicle, acted “very nervous.” When the deputy did a pat-down search of Garr, he allegedly found 145 grams of cocaine hidden on him.

Garr told the deputy that he was getting paid to transport the cocaine to Shreveport. He was arrested at the scene and taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
