Former Lufkin Panther moved up to NFL squad

CHARLOTTE, NC - A former Lufkin Panther has made it onto an NFL team following a round of cuts Tuesday.

Cornerback Carrington Byndom has been on the Carolina Panthers practice squad all year. He is moved to the active roster after the team cut Antoine Cason.

Byndom, an undrafted rookie from the University of Texas, compiled 189 tackles and five interceptions in college.
