Houston Co., Angelina Co. authorities search for man accused of robbing store

CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) -

Law enforcement officers in the counties of Houston and Angelina are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Crockett convenience store on Monday.

According to Lufkin Crime Stoppers, Calvin Lee Rodgers Jr., 24, is wanted in Houston County on a charge of aggravated robbery and by the Texas Pardon and Parole Board for a parole violation warrant.

According to Crockett police, a clerk working at a store on the 900 block of South Fourth Street called at 7:45 p.m. and said she was robbed at gunpoint.

Police say Rodgers took the money and put it in a black pouch before leaving the store.

Rodgers has ties to Houston and Angelina Counties, with past home addresses on George Briggs Street in Crockett and Percy Simond Street in Lufkin.
