Polk Co. Sheriff's Office seeking public's help in finding missing man

POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in finding a man who has been missing since Dec. 5.

David Earl Dirden, was last seen in the Brookshire Brothers store in Crockett on Dec. 5. At the time, he was wearing a green and blue hooded jacket, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. Chief Deputy Byron Lyons with the Polk County Sheriff's Office said that Dirden is believed to be hitch-hiking to Dallas.

Dirden was reported missing on Dec. 4, and his family is asking for assistance in finding him. Authorities believe Dirden is suffering from a mental condition.

“If this person is located please contact your local law enforcement agency or the Polk County Sheriff's Office at (936) 327-6810,” the press release stated.
