Lufkin Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: Man burglarized S. Medford car lot

LUFKIN, TX (News Release) - at 4 a.m. on October 09, a man rode a bicycle to a car lot located in the 200 block of South Medford Drive and burglarized the office.

The burglar parked his bike near the loop and approached the building on foot. He kicked open the door to the office and was inside for about one minute before the alarm ran him off, but that was enough time to go through many of the office cabinets.

Investigators know he was riding a bicycle and where he parked it because security cameras outside the building captured his approach and departure. Under the Crime of the Week section of, you can view portions of the security videos. Unfortunately, the videos provide only a glimpse of the man while he is near the building.

The suspect has a light skin tone, short hair, and possibly facial hair. He wore a short-sleeve, collared shirt, knee-length shorts, and a baseball cap, and he carried a small messenger-style bag. What appear to be tattoos are visible on his arms, his leg, and possibly on his neck.

This burglary is one of several at the car lot and the investigating officers have a name of a possible suspect but need help linking the burglar to the crime.
