NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

When Nacogdoches County's Pct. 4 Constable went to serve a possession of a controlled substance warrant on a 50-year-old man back In October, the man was found to be in possession of a half gram of methamphetamine.

As a result, the constable's office obtained another arrest warrant for that offense. Jack Nolis Welch was arrested in Etoile Monday.

Welch, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail felony possession of a controlled substance charge and a Class A misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance charge. No bail has been set at this time.

According to Pct. 4 Constable David Stone, his office went to serve an outstanding arrest warrant on Welch in Etoile on Oct. 28, and a pat-down search revealed that Welch had a half gram of a substance that field-tested to be meth.
