DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) -

Diboll Police arrested a Lufkin man Saturday night who was allegedly in possession of various drugs and a fully loaded gun.

According to Diboll Police, Officer Lazaro Robles was patrolling the 300 block of Avalon street and observed two suspicious people. The Diboll police facebook page said Robles made contact with a white male and female.

According to the page, Officer Robles immediately observed the male holding a crown royal bag displaying an outline of a gun.

"Officer Robles quickly removed the gun and held both suspects at gun point until backup could arrive," the post stated. "Once both suspects were arrested and placed in patrol cars, officers found that the weapon was a 40 caliber Smith & Wesson and was fully loaded."

Diboll police also said officers were able to locate marijuana smoking pipes, hash, mushrooms, and a grinder.

Steven Ryan Patterson of Lufkin was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon. Multiple drug charges could be filed.

According to the Angelina County Jail site, Patterson was able to post a $1,500 bond.
