A Homicide Investigation

Police arrested 35-year-old Brian Glasgow early Wednesday morning after they were called to his residence. That is where they found 22-year-old Joseph Fowler shot numerous times with what appeared to be a 9 millimeter pistol.

Glasgow has been charged with murder.

Shelby County Sheriff Newton Johnson said, "We found a white male with multiple guns shot wounds...he was taken to Shelby County Medical Hospital...where he was pronounced dead at 2:25 a.m."

The sheriff would not disclose the exact location of the shooting. He said he had his reasons for that. But he said the crime happened near Loop 500 and Hwy 96, right outside the city limits.

Investigators arrested Glasgow shortly after arriving on the scene. His bond was set at $100,000.  He has already bonded out.

Sheriff Johnson said, "Everyone has the opportunity to bond, if they can make that bond, they're free to go."

As the investigation continues, police still do not know why someone would shoot the 22-year-old victim.
