NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Still looking for something to do for New Year's Eve that's family-friendly and helps outs the community?
Impact, a Nacogdoches nonprofit organization, is partnering with David Stalling and Landmark Production to put on 'An Evening With the Platters' New Year's Eve night at the County Expo and Civic Center.
Benefits from the event will go to local children in foster care in Nacogdoches, St. Augustine, Shelby, and Sabine counties. Impact raises money all year for these children, but this is the biggest charity event they've had to date.
" Landmark Production and David Stallings are bringing the Platters to town, and that's a 1950's group from Branson, Missouri.," says Impact director Julia Jones. "We're just really excited to have a name like that in Nacogdoches."
Tickets are on sale now for $30 and will be $40 at the door. You can purchase tickets from Impact or at Boot Barn locations in Lufkin and Nacogdoches.
